Hey! My name is Dan Sloan and I think that riding a bike is one of the most liberating things one can do for themselves.   For me, bike riding is synonymous with complete independence and freedom to go anywhere I want to go and do whatever I want to do.  There is a lack of bike rental options in NE and North Portland and I’m glad to offer folks an affordable and accessible  transportation option that allows them to explore this great city on their terms.

I’ve been building bikes as long as I’ve lived in Portland and deeply enjoy building bikes that feel great to ride.   I strongly believe that minimizing waste and environmental destruction is extremely important;  This is half of the reason why all the bikes we rent are vintage, and not new (except for the parts that wear out i.e. cables, housing, chain, cassette).  The other half is because I am so fond of well made Japanese, American, and Taiwanese bikes from the mid-to-late 80s and early 90s and am excited to share my builds with you.  You also get a nicer bike for the money.

My goal is to offer folks a safe, well maintained, fun bike that they are as excited to ride as I am to have built and to build relationships with my community members and out of town visitors.

We LOVED riding the bikes around Portland, and even took a side trip to the wine country. I cannot think of a better way to explore the area.
Thank you so much….we will definately rent bikes from you again!
